Children's Church

The children of the church (ages 3 through 6th grade) have fun while learning about faith, trust, honesty and God's love through various activities. They have Bible study and enjoy singing, praying and playing together as well as showing kindness to others.

Children meet weekly on Sunday mornings at 10am and Wednesday evenings at 7pm. Teachers are Eileen Artavia, Lisa Coggins, Linda Heafner, and Anita Sigmon.

A Nursery is available for mothers with babies/toddlers.

GLOW -- God Lights Our Lives

The purpose of GLOW at Mathis Chapel Baptist Church is to spread the life changing message of Jesus Christ through connecting with people in Catawba and surrounding areas. We use many evangelistic tools such as calling, writing, praying and visiting to fulfill the great commission. Also, it helps us to know our church family members better and gives us a time for interaction. Click here for our Thought for the Week.

GLOW Ministry is usually the fourth Wednesday night from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

If you have a need or prayer request, please email us at GLOW Team.

For I was ahungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Matthew 25:35-36

Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee.
Deuteronomy 16:17

Helping Hands

In 1st Corinthians 13, the Bible teaches that we are to be the body of Christ and show faith, hope and love. The ladies of Mathis Chapel have a desire to fulfill this commandment. Mission projects include Forgiven Ministry's Adams Center and Ezekiels Room, food backpack program at Catawba Elementary, Corner Table Soup Kitchen, Hospice, and many other missions sponsored by our church.

They meet on the first Monday night of the month at 6:30pm. The ladies are also discovering the essential truths upon which a wise woman builds her life and faith through Bible study led by Linda Heafner.

S E A L

(Serve, Edify, Accountability, Love)

SEAL meets on the last Monday of the month at 6pm and is open to the men and teenage boys of the church. Their objective is to learn what it means to be a Godly man. Bible study is lead by Joe Spurlin.
