Who We Are
Statement of Faith
God has burdened us to get back to the basics of what His Word says,
trusting that He will lead us and guide us and build a work He desires in our Community.
We believe
–in the Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy; and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
-We are sticking with the King James Bible believing it is God’s preserved Word.
-that we should do our best to obey, and the needed work will be done by the Holy Spirit in accordance to the obedience of the believer when given the opportunity to grow or move forward
-and we do not believe you can lose your Salvation once you truly put your faith in Jesus Christ. Once Saved Always Saved.
-We want to draw people to come and be a part but not at the expense of trying to lure them with activities that we are not led to do, which only duplicates what others do.
One god
eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
Our Lord Jesus Christ
God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His Personal return in power and glory
The Salvation
of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith apart from works, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit. We also believe that Salvation is completely and solely based on the finished work of Jesus Christ, and once saved it is the responsibility of the Church to see that the believer is grounded in the knowledge of what they have in Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit
by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ
The Unity
of the Spirit of all true believers, the Church, the Body of Christ
The Resurrection
of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
And ye are Complete in him, which is the head of all principlaity and power: – Colossians 2:10

Thank you for taking the time to find out more about our church. I believe every Christian should have a church home. We’d like to invite you to be part of ours. The Mathis Chapel Baptist Church is a loving family of believers whose sole priority is to glorify Christ. It is our desire to reach others with the gospel and to help families grow in their faith.
